Spokane police arrest two women on drug charges

Spokane police arrested two women on drug charges this week that they had been pursuing over the course of several weeks. After receiving multiple, consistent complaints of drug activity and drug sales stemming from the North Spokane home, police set up an investigation.

For weeks following the complaints, detectives went to the home in question. Officers declared the complaints to be accurate, as they continually returned to the home undercover and purchased unspecified amounts of heroin and methamphetamines from the residents.

This week detectives from the Spokane Police Department carried out a search of the house, acting on a warrant they obtained. Officers did not specifically detail their findings, but did report seizing what they believed to be evidence in relation to sales and use of heroin and methamphetamine.

Upon searching the home, there were five adults present, three of which were not charged and free to leave the home. Of the two women arrested, a 31-year-old was taken into custody on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance as well as Unlawful use of a Building for Drug Purposes. The other woman, 27, was reportedly arrested on an unrelated warrant.

Being charged with on drug-related crimes can be extremely damaging to someone's personal life in many ways. If found guilty of drug crimes, your ability to rent a home, obtain a job and do other things of that nature may be compromised. Drug crimes have the potential of carrying very serious consequences. If you have been charged with a drug-related crime, contacting a well-versed lawyer may be something you could look into.
