Woman posing as prostitute and man taken into custody in robbery

According to Spokane, Washington, police, a woman who was posing as a prostitute along with a man were arrested in an armed robbery case. The man who was robbed had arranged to meet with the 25-year-old woman who was posing as a prostitute. He arranged the meeting through backpage.com, a website that a Spokane news release said was an online classifieds archive that escorts and prostitutes tended to frequent.

Arrests made in June car bombing

Two Washington men were arrested on charges related to a car bombing in June. The men allegedly manufactured a bomb and placed it under the passenger side of a vehicle. The bomb was detonated at 4:45 a.m. The bomb did not cause a fire and no one was injured. However, there was a gas leak when emergency crews responded to the scene. The car had not been driven for three days prior to the explosion.

School official to complete diversion after vandalism charges

A school official from Washington blames his alleged illegal behavior on June 25 on a reaction to prescription medication. The 43-year-old man, who has been employed by the school for three years, faces criminal charges after he attended an educational conference and vandalized the hotel where he stayed.

Man accused of stealing from unoccupied homes

A 40-year-old man from Spokane, Washington, has been taken into police custody on four felony charges related to residential burglaries. According to the report, the criminal charges resulted from an investigation conducted by two detectives, one from the Spokane County Sheriff's Office Property Crimes and the other from Spokane Police Department's Patrol Anti-Crime Team (PACT).
